The largest school district in Florida, Miami-Dade County Public Schools is working to increase graduation rates by focusing on teacher recruitment.
Miami-Dade County Public Schools is the largest school district in Florida and the second largest minority school system in the United States. Of the over 100,000 children living in poverty, only 47.5% of them are projected to graduate from high school.
The movement to change education has taken a new shape as the school district focuses on ensuring that all classrooms have high quality teachers. Community partners have expanded reform to the entire family unit as programs aim to empower parents, support the work of our schools and find ways to maximize every child’s potential.
